1. Platform Terms of Use
Operator and scope
EventScout.app is provided by Immigration Scout. These terms apply to all visitors and account holders. Access to publish or manage events on the platform is granted by invitation only.
Marketplace role
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity carried out under your account. You must provide accurate information and update it when it changes.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to bypass access controls, ticket limits, RLS or verification checks.
- Do not upload unlawful, misleading, infringing or harmful content.
- Do not use the platform to send unsolicited commercial messages.
- Do not scrape or reuse other organizers' data.
Availability, liability and termination
We aim to keep the platform available and secure, but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law; we do not exclude or limit liability for intent, gross negligence, or for injury to life, body or health, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. We may suspend or terminate access where you materially breach these terms, applicable law, or where required for security.
Changes, law and forum
We may update these terms. Material changes will be signposted on the platform. The applicable law and forum are those provided by mandatory consumer-protection rules where you reside; otherwise disputes will be handled in accordance with the law applicable to the operator.
2. Ticket Buyer Terms
Parties to the event contract
The organizer identified on the event page is the seller of the ticket and the party responsible for delivering the event. Immigration Scout is not a party to that contract.
Booking and payment
When you complete the booking form you make a binding request to purchase a ticket on the terms shown on the event page, including the event-specific cancellation and refund policy. Ticket funds are paid directly to the organizer using the payment details shown at checkout. Immigration Scout does not receive, hold, pool or transfer ticket funds.
Ticket, check-in and buyer limits
Your ticket is personal to the named attendee. Please bring your QR code (digital or printed) to the venue; duplicate scans of the same QR code will be rejected. Some events restrict how many tickets a single buyer may hold; the current limit is shown at checkout, and attempts to bypass it may lead to cancellation without refund.
Right of withdrawal
For live events tied to a specific date, the statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts may not apply under Section 312g(2) No. 9 BGB and equivalent EU rules. Any voluntary refund is governed by the event policy.
Attendance and complaints
You are responsible for your own health, belongings and conduct at the event. Please raise event-specific issues with the organizer first. If a platform issue is not resolved, contact us via the Contact page.
3. Organizer Terms
Your responsibilities
- Deliver the event as described, on the announced date, at the announced venue.
- Hold all permits, insurance, licences and clearances required for the event.
- Set lawful cancellation, refund and admission policies and honour them.
- Collect and pay any applicable taxes on ticket revenue.
- Provide accurate contact details so attendees can reach you.
Payments and data
Ticket funds are paid directly by attendees to you. Immigration Scout does not receive or hold ticket funds. You must mark bookings as paid or refunded accurately and promptly. You act as an independent controller for the attendee data you collect and must have a lawful basis for your fields, provide your own privacy information and honour data-subject requests within statutory time limits.
Content, inventory and multi-tenancy
You confirm that you own or have licensed all rights in the content you upload. You must not oversell or misrepresent availability. You will only access your organization's events and data and will not attempt to access other organizations' events, attendees or bookings.
Staff and suspension
You are responsible for the people you invite as staff or volunteer check-in users, and for revoking their access when it is no longer needed. We may suspend or remove an event, or an organizer account, for material breach, suspected fraud, or where required for safety or by law.
4. Cancellation & Refund
Cancellation and refund conditions are set by the organizer for each event and displayed on that event's page and at checkout. There is no single platform-wide refund policy. Refunds, where due, are issued by the organizer using the same channel as the original payment.
5. Content, Image & AI-Generated Media
Prohibited content
- Content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful or infringes third-party rights.
- Sexual content involving minors, terrorist content, or other material prohibited by law.
- Misleading claims about the event, its organizer, endorsements or affiliations.
Rights, AI media and moderation
You must own or have licensed all rights in images, logos, banners and text you upload. If you upload AI-generated or materially edited media, you must flag it using the upload controls; you remain responsible for accuracy and lawfulness. We may review and, if necessary, remove content that breaches this policy.
6. Cookie Policy
EventScout.app uses only the cookies and similar technologies needed to run the service and, where you consent, additional categories. You can change your choices at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
Categories
- Strictly necessary — required to serve the site, keep you signed in, remember your consent choices and protect the service against abuse. Cannot be switched off.
- Functional — remember interface preferences (timezone, currency). Loaded only with your consent.
- Analytics — aggregated usage statistics. Loaded only with your consent. None loaded by default today.
- Marketing — measurement and personalized communications. Loaded only with your consent. None loaded by default today.
Because the platform is early in its rollout, only a small set of strictly-necessary cookies is currently in use (session, CSRF, consent record). The full cookie inventory will be published here as the service adds functional, analytics or marketing tooling.
7. Accessibility Statement
Immigration Scout is committed to making EventScout.app usable for as many people as possible, and aims to align with widely-adopted accessibility guidance such as WCAG 2.1 AA. Accessibility is an ongoing programme, not a one-off deliverable.
- Semantic HTML, clear headings and keyboard-reachable controls.
- Sufficient colour contrast for text and interactive elements.
- Alternative text for meaningful images and logos.
- Responsive layouts that adapt to mobile, tablet and desktop.
Some organizer-uploaded content (images, banners, custom copy) may not fully meet accessibility criteria. If you experience an accessibility barrier, please contact us via the Contact page.
8. Consumer Dispute Resolution
Because Immigration Scout is not the seller of tickets, most consumer disputes concern the organizer of a specific event. Please raise the issue with the organizer first, using the contact details on the event page. If a platform issue (for example ticket delivery or account access) is not resolved, please contact Immigration Scout via the Contact page.
Immigration Scout is not currently obliged to participate in a specific consumer alternative dispute resolution body and does not commit to do so. This statement will be updated if that changes.
9. DSA Notice & Marketplace Governance
EventScout.app is an online marketplace within the meaning of the Digital Services Act. Reports of unlawful content, fraud or misuse of the platform can be sent to info@immigrationscout.com. Please include a precise description and URL of the content, the reason it is believed unlawful, your contact details and a good-faith statement of accuracy.
We acknowledge notices, review them promptly and act where required. Where content is removed or restricted, we provide a statement of reasons to the affected party where required by the DSA. Organizers are onboarded by invitation and are required to provide traceability information; verification is not a guarantee of the safety, quality or lawfulness of an event.
