Privacy Policy

Last updated · 24 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Immigration Scout processes personal data when you use EventScout.app. It applies to visitors, attendees who book tickets, organizer staff and platform administrators.

Controller

Data we process

  • Account data: name, email, hashed password, role, sign-in metadata.
  • Booking data: buyer details you provide, attendee fields you complete for a specific event, ticket status and QR check-in state.
  • Payment status data: whether an organizer has marked a booking as paid, refunded or cancelled. We do not receive, hold or transfer ticket funds.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser user agent, security and error logs.
  • Communications: emails we send you (confirmations, cancellations, refunds, invitations, reconciliation digests) and administrative messages.

Purposes and legal bases

  • Performing the contract with you to operate the marketplace, deliver tickets and support check-in (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Complying with legal obligations, including record-keeping and responding to lawful requests (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • Our legitimate interests in securing the platform, preventing fraud, moderating content and providing organizer analytics (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Where required, your consent — for example for non-essential cookies (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Sharing

We share booking and attendee data with the organizer of the specific event you book, so they can deliver the event and comply with their own obligations. We do not sell personal data. We use vetted infrastructure and email providers as processors, under written data-processing terms.

International transfers

Immigration Scout is established in India. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards permitted under Chapter V GDPR, including Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary measures where required.

Retention

  • Account data: while the account is active and for a limited period after deletion for security and abuse-prevention.
  • Booking and ticket records: for the period needed to support the event, respond to disputes and satisfy tax and accounting obligations.
  • Cookie-consent records: for the period needed to demonstrate consent and until the relevant limitation period expires.
  • Deleted-account backups: removed through the ordinary backup cycle.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, to portability, to withdraw consent at any time and to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority.
